Uptown Paw is owned and run by a mother and daughter, Roya and Parisa. We built the kind of place we wanted for our own dogs: private, calm, spotless and personal.
When we traveled, we never chose the biggest name. We went looking for small, charming boutique hotels: places with character, where the staff knew you by name and every detail felt considered. The kind of place you return to year after year, until it becomes a tradition.
We believed dogs, and the families who trust us with them, deserve the same. So we built Uptown Paw the way our favorite boutique hotels are run: intimate, inspiring and personal. A place worth coming back to.
In 2022 we opened our new home on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach, with individually themed private suites, two size‑separated daycares, and custom tubs tiled in mother of pearl.
We keep the house small on purpose. Our groomers are trained by Parisa herself, and we only use organic, hand‑made products from local makers we know personally.

Please have everything below ready. Without it, we’re unable to schedule your dog’s temperament evaluation, which every new guest completes before their first stay or daycare day.
- Current vaccines, with records from your vet: Rabies, DHPP (distemper/parvo) and Bordetella. Leptospirosis is not required, but we highly recommend it.
- A negative fecal test for Giardia within the last 6 months
- Free of fleas and ticks
- Free of any symptoms, including suspected allergies. Coughing, sneezing or runny eyes can be an undiagnosed upper respiratory infection, so please wait until your vet has cleared your dog.
- Senior dogs in good health must be pre‑approved with clearance from your vet. For their own safety, we’re unable to accept dogs with severe health issues.
- Your online profile completed: owner profile, pet profile and the signed Uptown Paw agreement
Dogs over 6 months who aren’t spayed or neutered: $10 per day or night. We can’t accept females in heat.
