Uptown Paw is a holistic grooming spa on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach, a short drive from Fountain Valley, Westminster, Costa Mesa and Newport Beach, and an easy trip from Irvine. We groom a limited number of dogs each day, by hand.

Most of what makes a groom feel different happens where you can’t see it: how the coat is dried, how long it’s brushed, and how much time goes into the finish.

- Brushed straight as it dries, so every hair can be scissored evenly.
- Hand‑scissored teddy faces, rounded feet and neat finishes.
- Organic, hand‑made shampoos from local makers, in custom mother of pearl tubs.
- A limited number of dogs each day, so no one is rushed.

Hand stripping for terriers, de‑shedding for double coats and full hand‑scissored styles, a short drive east.

A calm, unhurried spa day: organic products, hand drying and a polished, hand‑finished look.

Puppy first grooms, doodle teddy cuts and regular maintenance grooms, with a schedule suggested after the first visit.

Temperament evaluation
Every new dog completes one first, with current vaccines and a negative Giardia test on file.

Pricing depends on coat, size and condition. We’ll confirm your quote when you book.
The groom
Bath, hand fluff‑dry, brush‑out and a hand‑finished style shaped to your dog.
Before you book
Please have everything below ready. Without it, we’re unable to schedule your dog’s temperament evaluation, which every new guest completes before their first stay or daycare day.
- Current vaccines, with records from your vet: Rabies, DHPP (distemper/parvo) and Bordetella. Leptospirosis is not required, but we highly recommend it.
- A negative fecal test for Giardia within the last 6 months
- Free of fleas and ticks
- Free of any symptoms, including suspected allergies. Coughing, sneezing or runny eyes can be an undiagnosed upper respiratory infection, so please wait until your vet has cleared your dog.
- Senior dogs in good health must be pre‑approved with clearance from your vet. For their own safety, we’re unable to accept dogs with severe health issues.
- Your online profile completed: owner profile, pet profile and the signed Uptown Paw agreement
Dogs over 6 months who aren’t spayed or neutered: $10 per day or night. We can’t accept females in heat.
